Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful;

Hebrews 10:23 (NASB)

Do you have a friend who you can rely upon in all circumstances; someone you can call on in a time of need? Such people are a treasure to us, often through many years. I am pleased to say I have such friends in my life; who I went to school with and are still in my life today – I can truly rely on them. I also have more recent friends in the last couple of years within blogging; precious brothers and sisters who uphold me in prayer and encourage me often. I can rely on them too. Yet in contrast they all pale against the faithfulness of Almighty God, our Creator and Father through Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour.

We cherish our most faithful friends, and return their love for us at every opportunity. How much more should we love our Faithful Father God, the Creator of all things great and small? If we were cherished deeply by the King or President we would cherish them in return; but the Creator of Heaven and Earth cherished us so much that He sent His Son to bear the punishment of our sin, and redeem us. That is a level beyond any person’s reach, rich or poor.

Dear reader, “hold fast” in your circumstances no matter how dire they may be. Let not the storm of life bend you as the wind bends a tree; do not waver in His hold, He will not let you go. He is faithful to you, but are you faithful to Him in all things?

  1. This is so beautiful! Can you imagine when we will all be with Him? The joy, the songs, the learning, the receiving of love we can’t begin to imagine but awaits us all. Thank you for your blogs.
