I will give thanks to the Lord with all my heart;
I will tell of all Your wonders.
I will be glad and exult in You;
I will sing praise to Your name, O Most High.
In my humble opinion there is nothing as glorious as a sunrise or sunset; these always remind me of our Creator and the magnificence of His work and love for us. As I write I am reminded of walks where His sun has burst suddenly from behind clouds, just as I have petitioned for His comforting presence – a classic God-incidence. Such moments lift my heart and my voice in praise of Him. It need not be creation that has this effect; sometimes He will bless us through a timely provision in life, be it an incident or through another person. His timing is always perfect.
The wonders of the Most High One are seen by us, and they lodge in our heart filling us with awe and joy in His love for us. But that is not the end of the story; it is our duty to make sure that these blessings are not locked in our heart, but that they are released and shared with others. This may be a strange way to put it but, we spread jam all over our bread…not just in a corner!
Dear reader, as your heart sings of His wonders does your voice sing too? Do we share how we are blessed by Him, at home, work or even at the supermarket? Your Father God has lit a light in your heart, will you share it today?
“You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden; nor does anyone light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on the lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house.”
Alan, I like this image, “we spread jam all over our bread…not just in a corner!” I hope we all take your message and spread Jesus everywhere not in one wee area of life. Blessings friend.

Hi Manette, I am glad you got that peculiarly bit of Scottish humour and applied it well. It’s a family joke for us as a child Susan was often reminded by her mum “the breeds no roond it’s square…git in the corners!”
God bless you today sister 🙏

Perfect, Alan! I love this. By an extraordinary coincidence, I’ve just been writing a closely parallel piece, which arrived in the night. I’ll try to post it today, if I can get it ready in time. Hoping it will make you smile! May God bless you both today, as always XXXXXX

What a privilege to listen to this great worship song by Graham Kendrick as the sun is about to rise here on the southern plains of the US.
I first heard this song when I was in college. It was at a powerful gathering of young believers on campus. I also love Graham’s song, “All I Once Held Dear/Knowing You.”
Thank you for sharing this message and song, brother.
Please pray for 🇺🇸 America. There has been yet another mass shooting, this time in the major city of Chicago.

This post reminds me of the time when God led me to write a blog. I was very sick with mononucleosis. As I lay in bed, I couldn’t get the little song out of my head that went, “This little light of mine. I’m gonna let it shine…. Put it under a bushel? No! I’m gonna let it shine.” I thought to myself, “I’m a closet Christian!” That’s when I started writing my blog. It was 2017. Yes, we must let our light shine! Blessings, Alan!

Thank you for sharing your testimony Cindy, it is encouraging for me to hear how God uses His children to serve Him in the most unlikely circumstances. For me it took a pandemic for me to hear and obey Him in writing Devotional Treasures. Your light is shining brightly right across the Atlantic ocean Cindy, may our Father God continue to guide and bless you dear sister, Amen 🙏

We have been having afternoon rains here in Colorado, and so with the clouds lingering into the evening, we have also had some glorious sunsets and rainbows. So I just stand outside and bask in the glory of God! You can’t help but praise Him when you see something like that!
