Therefore encourage one another and build up one another.

1 Thessalonians 5:11 (NASB)

I recently read an excellent blog post by brother Rainer about how it would be good if Christian bloggers encouraged one another more. I know there is a good fellowship amongst many on WordPress, but I felt challenged that I could do more to build up my brethren. So here I share a list of blogs that I read regularly, that have blessed me over the last two years. This list is not in any order or far from being complete, and may be only the first such post. I recommend these brethren highly:

The Devotional Guy

Reasoned Cases For Christ

Real Christian Women

David’s Daily Dose

Theology of a Newfoundland Housewife

The Domain of Truth

Blue Collar Theologian

Seeking God’s Face Together

I Love The Psalms

My Life in Our Father’s World

God Still Speaks

Musings of Manette Kay

Lessons From A Lab

  1. Thank you for the mention, brother! I am blessed to have a fine fellow Christian blogger friend in you. May God richly bless you for so graciously promoting other bloggers!

PS. I do believe I’ve read everything you’ve ever posted!

“God is not unjust; He will not forget your work and the love that you have shown Him as you have helped His people and continue to help them.” Hebrews 6:10

    PSS. I enjoyed the video!

    1. Thank you brother David! I can’t remember how I connected with you, but by whatever way it happened I know two things from it; 1.It was ordained by our Father God, and 2.You have been a huge blessing in my life and service for Him, through your encouragement and your lovely upbeat writing. May you be richly blessed by God this weekend.

    1. Hi Mandy, you and everyone I mention are my church family…you sit in the pew in front of me!😁
I will be honest and say I have a long way to go to be Holy, it is a struggle every day, but I know I am in good company with my WordPress family in Christ.

  3. Thank you for sharing your list Alan and for including my blog on it. It really is important to build one another up, especially in these difficult times. None of us are an island to ourselves and there is indeed a rich diversity to be found in other brothers and sisters in the Lord. Sincerely appreciated. Blessings brother!

    1. Thank you Bruce. All the folks on this list write differently but all of them bless me in their faithfulness to God’s calling. Your own writing for Him is one of the most challenging to me personally, as you highlight many things that are valuable to know and meditate upon. May our Father God richly bless you and your family this weekend.

    1. There will be a second list in about a week. There is no order of preference in these lists…other than when I remember names. 😁

  5. Wow Alan, Thank you! I am completely humbled to be listed among the blogs you would recommend. You have included many of my favorite blogs as well. Most of which I learned about through you. One thing I cherish about blogging is that it has connected me to the international body of Christ. It has tangibly shown me how big and strong Christ’s body is as we come together through wordpress to encourage, edify, and pray for one another. There are so many, yourself included, that I am eager to meet face to face in heaven one day.

    1. It is such a joy to me to do my wee bit in bringing believers together, to serve our Lord. As time marches on I feel a greater urgency in all I write and do for Him, my and our time is short…and there are so many still to hear His call of Redemption! You are so right Beth, what a meeting that will be in the air on that glorious day, hallelujah! May He guide you more into His service each day my dear sister.

  6. Alan, I’ve been away for a weekend retreat and I’m now catching up on many emails and replies.

Thank you for putting me on your recommended list! May God bless each as we “encourage one another in love and good deeds.” Primarily pointing people to Jesus the author and finisher of our faith.

    1. Hi Manette, I pray that you are rejuvenated in Him from your retreat. May our Father God guide your steps and your pen as you serve His purposes, and bless you with comfort and joy in His presence.

    1. Thank you David. I was challenged lately through another brother in Christ whether I was doing enough to encourage other writing believers, this was my first response to that challenge. It is not all about building up others, but also sharing His Good News wider. May you know His constant guiding touch and blessings on you and your family David.
