Trust in the Lord with all your heart
And do not lean on your own understanding.
In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He will make your paths straight.

Proverbs 3:5-6 (NASB)

I have always had a passion for music. My tastes vary widely, my favourite genres being classical music, and Christian music. Some years ago I bought a Bose Wave Radio which fills the house with a beautiful surround sound. But sadly last year something went wrong with the CD unit. I contacted Bose and they made quick arrangements for my unit to travel to Belgium for repairs. To my joy and amazement I had it back very quickly once more filling the house with sweet tunes. Sending the Bose to the maker was definitely the right choice; but do we trust our Maker, Almighty God, with our welfare?

We wouldn’t trust a plumber to fix our car, but why would we not trust our Creator with our eternal welfare? He knows us intimately far better than anyone, and even better than we know ourselves. So often folk in their pride do things their way, ending unhappily or even in disaster. This is like trying to build flatpack furniture without reading the instructions, which is never a good idea. In life it is sensible to trust our Maker and regularly consult “The Maker’s Instructions” – our Bible.

Dear reader, do you trust your Maker – Almighty God? Or are you stumbling around in the dark, doing things your way? Let be blunt…the road to Hell is paved with folk who sang “I Did It My Way“! I know because I attended some of their funerals over the years. I urge you, seek your Maker and His guidance today – you won’t regret it.

      1. I’ve been a bit lax on posts recently. Busy with a chang to our filming schedule (which is all in a Monday) then editing Tuesday/Wednesday which gives me 3 days for other projects…like editing my book! šŸ™‚
