Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you, with all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with thankfulness in your hearts to God. Whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through Him to God the Father. Colossians 3:16-17 (NASB)

What a blessed weekend it has been! I had the pleasure of a leisurely stroll through Formonthill Woods yesterday afternoon. We are blessed that this beautiful nature reserve is just a street away from our home. The sun shone and the birds sang in the brisk breeze, it was a great place for praise and prayer.

This morning’s 9am service at Glenrothes Baptist Church had a surprise in store: we were allowed to sing! The service was to be one of Worship, which excited my heart. We did not hold back, it was a glorious time of praise and worship to Almighty God that really stirred my soul. There was no doubt that as we lifted our voices in unison that the Spirit was amongst us. The Rev. Matthew Marshall gave an inspiring three-point devotional between the Worship sections based on Colossians 3:1-17, in only about five minutes! It was also encouraging to see video highlights of brother Martin’s recent baptism, in the chilly Firth of Forth at Leven Beach…what a faithful and brave man indeed. As I left church this morning my heart was still singing praises to Him.

Dear reader, let us together lift our voices and rejoice in our Risen Lord and our Father God, who by His Spirit preserves us. Through trials past and present He guides us, that we may shine for Him in this troubled world. All glory to Him!
