This beautiful post on prayer touched my soul this morning, I am sure it will touch other folk too.

I urge you . . . to join me in my struggle by praying to God for me. Romans 15:30 While serving as my mom’s live-in caregiver at a cancer center hundreds of miles away from my home, I asked people to pray for us. As the months passed, isolation and loneliness sapped my strength. […]

The Purple Shawl

  1. Nathan and I listened to this on Our Daily Bread and I could not help but to think of my own prayer shawls that were made for me during difficult seasons. I have also loaned them to friends when they are in time of need and I want them to be covered like I was covered. Prayer is our connective tissue, it is what keeps us moving and erect. Prayer connects us to God and to others. I am so thankful for you and Susan! Thank you for your prayers! Love and blessings to you and Susan!

    1. Thank you for your thoughts on this Mandy. I had never heard of prayer shawls before, which is why the idea made an impact on me this morning. It seems like everyone uses ODB nowadays, I stopped using it a while ago. I pray that the youth group goes well for you today.

      1. Stopping reading ODB for me was about utilizing my time, I chose to focus more on my daily Bible reading plan and the devotionals I read on WordPress. I enjoyed ODB but felt I was not getting as much as I would do by studying myself.
I am a bit concerned that this reblog may have breached ODB copyright inadvertently though.

        How true, Mandy! Great thought.

I’m almost certain ODB doesn’t mind anyone sharing their devotions.

        Blessings.
