Someone once said that everyday is another lesson in life. I think this is more so for the child of God, everyday is an opportunity to mature further in our walk with our Creator. Not all days are great revelations or massive blessings from Heaven, sometimes there is silence. We have prayed and read His Word, but there is no immediate reply. The silence is not rejection from God, it is a time of reflection for your benefit. Waiting is exercise for your personal faith, God will answer at the right time and in the right way. Dear reader, sometimes we need to be patient and faithful – just wait!
Just Wait
The sun sets and rises each day
Whatever the weather,
God hears the prayers we say
In our private chamber.
Sometimes birds don’t sing
Yet they are still there,
Heaven may be silent
But the Almighty is forever near.
Time continues forever onward
Minutes and hours passing,
Heaven hears your eager words
Just wait, an answer He will bring.
Do you not know? Have you not heard?
The Everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth
Does not become weary or tired.
His understanding is inscrutable. He gives strength to the weary,
And to him who lacks might He increases power. Though youths grow weary and tired,
And vigorous young men stumble badly, Yet those who wait for the Lord
Will gain new strength;
They will mount up with wings like eagles,
They will run and not get tired,
They will walk and not become weary. Isaiah 40:28-31
“The Lord is my portion,” says my soul,
“Therefore I have hope in Him.” The Lord is good to those who wait for Him,
To the person who seeks Him. It is good that he waits silently
For the salvation of the Lord. Lamentations 3:24-26
Wait for the Lord;
Be strong and let your heart take courage;
Yes, wait for the Lord. Psalm 27:14
Nice thoughts, Alan. Did you write the poem? That’s also a great airplane picture. I believe it is a Piper Cub.
